If you are writing to ask “How do I join WSFS?” please see our Membership/How to Join page. The way that you join WSFS is to join the current Worldcon as at least a Supporting member, which gives you WSFS voting rights and publications. To actually attend Worldcon, purchase an Attending membership (includes WSFS membership) in that convention.
You do not need to be a member of WSFS, nor do you need to attend Worldcon, to be eligible for the Hugo Award, although you do have to be a member in order to vote on the nominating and final ballots for the Hugo Awards.
Please do not send us announcements in the form “Pass on this information to your members” or “include this in your newsletters.” The WSFS web site team does not send out such announcements to the members of WSFS. Because the membership of WSFS is the membership of the current World Science Fiction Convention, whose membership is held by that Worldcon (not by the WSFS web site team), there is no mechanism for us to forward announcements to the members of WSFS.
Contact each individual Worldcon committee for information regarding purchasing advertising in their publications. WSFS does not sell or trade advertising space in publications or on its web sites. Individual Worldcons do publish progress reports and generally accept advertising in their publications.
Postal mail for WSFS can be sent to World Science Fiction Society, Post Office Box 61363, Sunnyvale CA 94088, USA. However, note that this address primarily is for certain administrative affairs of WSFS such as its intellectual property (service marks and the WSFS-managed web sites), and does not handle the selection of future Worldcon sites, the administration of the Hugo Awards, or the operation of any specific Worldcon committee. Contact the current World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon) or the specific Worldcon for these issues.
