Rules of the World Science Fiction Society

The World Science Fiction Society (WSFS) is governed by its Constitution and Standing Rules to which links are given below. These are accurate as of August 12, 2024, after the end of the 2024 Worldcon, Glasgow 2024 (Worldcon 82) in Glasgow, Scotland, UK, except where noted. Documents are PDF except where noted.

VIDEO RECORDINGS

Video recordings of the 2026 WSFS Business Meeting are available on the LAcon V YouTube Channel and the Worldcon Events YouTube Channel. The Day 1, 2, and 3 meetings were held online and were open to all WSFS members of the 2026 Worldcon who held Attending or Virtual Attending supplements. The Day 4 meeting was also held online, but was in executive session. The Day 5 meeting was held in person at LAcon V and only WSFS membership with Attending supplements could participate, although it was streamed and recorded.

  • Day 1: Preliminary Business Meeting, July 17, 2026
  • Day 2: First Main Business Meeting, July 26, 2026
  • Day 3: Second Main Business Meeting, August 1, 2026
  • Day 4: Third Main Business Meeting, August 9, 2026
    • This meeting is being held to consider disciplinary matters initiated by the 2025 Business meeting. It will be held in executive session and will not be recorded or streamed, and it will not be published online.
  • Day 5: Fourth Main Business Meeting/Site Selection, August 30, 2026
    • This meeting is being held in person at LAcon V. It is open to WSFS members with Attending supplements. It will be streamed, but only those members physically present can participate. It will be recorded and published on the LAcon V and Worldcon Events YouTube channels.
